The moment I saw you I fell in love
  I know that God sent you from Heaven above.
He saw my loneliness so he sent me a friend.

At night I'd sit with you in my lap.
  I'd stroke your soft fir as you took a nap.
A smile would flit across my face.
  As I look at you with all your grace.

Happiness is with me when you are near.
  I'll hold you in my heart ever so dear.
Thank you for your unconditional love.
  I also thank the good Lord above.

God called you to him so it has to be.
  If I'm sad thoughts of you will comfort me.
Lovingly I'd watch your antics did you know?
  A ball of yarn would amuse you so.

A toy stuffed mouse you'd bat around.
  You even chased real ones on the ground.
So be ready to meet me at the gate.
When I reach heaven we have a date!.
